Corn Gluten Products

What exactly is corn gluten?  Corn gluten is a dried protein that is separated from corn when starch is being manufactured for the food industry. Researchers at Iowa State University discovered that when corn gluten was used as a fertilizer natural compounds inhibited root development in seedlings.    Since that time corn gluten meal has been has been effectively utilized as a natural pre-emergent herbicide against a large variety of weeds.
